Communication Department




Edna Maye Gallington, is an assistant in the communication department. Having worked in Southeastern for many years, she has a wide network of friends and contacts in SECC schools and churches, and is knowledgeable about the conference’s history. For the Pacific Union Recorder she writes articles, takes news photographs, prepares announcements, and edits obituaries. In addition, she assists in producing Conference Priorities and in-house newsletters. 

Each year she takes a leading role in organizing a workshop for communication secretaries in local churches, and in preparing a newsletter especially for them entitled Newsbeat. A graduate of La Sierra University, she has public relations training from the University of California, Riverside, and is a member of Toastmasters International.
